The word I chose to use for my typography project was "REVEAL." Most of my image was created using the pen tool, something it took a while for me to get used to. I enjoyed creating the lips, adding anchor points where needed, and I thought to make the V the tongue, sticking out to one of the E's.
I still want to improve my image since I'd like to make the E's resemble more of an earlobe shape, so it looks like the tongue is reaching into an ear. I think this would represent the concept of "revealing something" well. I chose to keep negative space because I thought it added to the style of my photo. I still want to develop this idea more, since I know I could make it a lot better.
This is very cool concept and I like how you showed it. One thing I would like to see is if you made it more powerful looking.

The lips were done very well and I am impressed that you used the pen tool to create this considering I can barely use the pen tool. The only critique I have is that it was kind of hard to understand what the word was until I read your description. I think making the ear would make it clearer as to what the word is.

ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting piece and I would like to see were you take it if you do improve it. I think maybe adding a light red background to give it more color.
