Jordan's Book

I have not completely decided on an idea for a book cover idea.  I am leaning towards the biography of ourselves because then I can incorporate some of my own symbols into the cover.  Right now I want to make in the center an eye with a symbol in the center (it is kind of my insignia), over a dark rundown building where the eye is maybe painted on a wall.  The windows will have silouhettes of people and monsters looking out at the viewer, but I am having trouble coming up with a title.
For the other idea of not a book about ourselves I was thinking of doing a cover for the Necronomicon.  It is both an imaginary and real book dealing with terrifying creatures and horrors.  It was invented by the writers of the Cthulhu Mythos, and when I looked online for images of the things described in it, I found a lot of things similar to what I draw.  For the cover I want to write "Necronomicon" in made up symbols on the top and just bellow write the world regularly as if it is being translated.  For the art I want to do a dark background with eyes, arms, and tendrils jutting out randomly and the center towards the lower half a large gaping mouth opening up with many sharp teeth and the silouhette of a man in the middle.  I think this would work because most of the stories dealing with the necronomicon have to do with really weird unnatural almost amorphous monsters where the "hero" only survives if he can turn a blind eye to what is happening beyond mans miniscule existence.
