Jordan Grimaud Raster Project

For my exploration of time and space raster project I chose photos of my friend doing parkour through a scene.  I wanted to show how he chooses to not simply move blankly through a space to his destination but actually explores that space.  I wanted to state how this sets him apart from other people, so all other characters in the scene were made to look like ghosts.
How I made this was really simple.  I took many pictures of the same scene with my friend in all different positions.  Then I cut him out of each picture and placed him on the background scene in the same position.  The last thing I did was the same method for the other people in the scene, but to them I lowered the opacity and added a blur to make them ghost like.

  1. This turned out really well. You picked a great place for him to be doing all these stunts. I like that you made the people walking by look like ghosts because in reality none of them are paying any attention to the man hanging off of the wall.

  2. I like that there is shade and also spots with heavy sunlight because it adds contrast but the people somewhat distract me, I think maybe there should be more people or more of the subject jumping around.

  3. I like the right part of picture, which is the real man and blur walking people. Also the idea is so cool, you designed the man jumping in to different places and make the whole picture full.

  4. This is a really interesting piece. I like how the people walking past are almost ghost like in quality.

  5. This is too cool. I really like the variety of moves you have the man doing, it creates a lot of motion and makes the image really interesting. Also the way that the bystanders are faded was a good choice, it makes the focus on the man.
